CAFES AND KAYAKS
Duration: 5-6 Hours
This trip is perfect for those seeking an outdoor adventure filled with delicious food, local culture, vibrant arts, and scenic kayaking!
We’ll begin our journey at the historic Rosario Resort and Mansion, built in 1909 by shipbuilder Robert Moran. From this iconic starting point, we’ll paddle along the picturesque coastline toward some of the best wildlife viewing spots in Cascade Bay.
Our route brings us ashore in the charming town of Olga—one of Orcas Island’s oldest communities. Here, we’ll enjoy a relaxing lunch at the local café and explore the nearby art co-op featuring works from local artists.
After taking in the local culture, we’ll hop back into our kayaks and set a course back to Rosario, completing a full circle of adventure, nature, and island charm!
What Can You Expect on the Tour?
After a brief orientation, you'll launch from Rosario Marina and begin your paddle along the island’s scenic eastern coast. You might glide past kelp forests, round headlands, or navigate along rocky shorelines.
Along the way, your guide will share insights into the area’s marine life, island ecology, and early settler history. Wildlife sightings vary, but every paddle offers its own blend of quiet exploration and natural discovery.
